Things were going so well lately; how could they not be though? Harry had a lot of things going for him; he was looking at a promotion that would put him directly under the VP of the label; not to mention that he loved his job recruiting and helping undiscovered talent reach their full potential. The band was looking at another CD; more times than not he was on video chat a lot with the lads to hash out lyrics and beats. Not to mention they were supposed to be stopping into town for studio sessions. He had amazing friends, who were supportive and backed up a lot of his decisions. But the most important thing to Harry was that he had his best girl. He’d finally found the one woman that he could give his everything to. She gave him just as much as he gave her, and they were equals. So of course he did the only smart thing he could think of; he married her. It had been a beautiful wedding; something that her surrogate family put together, something simply but beautiful. Every so often, he’d catch her looking at the huge album of wedding pictures that captured their big day in still frame. But honestly, you didn’t need to look at pictures to see how happy they were. It was written all over Harry’s face whenever she was in the same room as him. Whenever the conversation came to that ‘lovely little wife’ of his, his whole expression would change before he would chuckle and tell whoever was asking that she was “just as lovely as everâ€, at least to him; Which was all that ever really mattered to begin with. Tonight he had said lovely little wife on his arm and he was planning on treating her to a night out for the long hours he’d worked this week. He hated working too late to come home to her cooking, too tired to do much else but shower and crawl into bed next to her. Their bed may have been a California king, but they slept cuddled up more times than not. So Harry had made reservations at Vinny’s to make it up to his lady for being gone those nights. That had been one thing he’d vowed to her, that he would always have time for her. And even when it looked like he didn’t, he would MAKE the time for him. Because she was important to him, she was the woman he loved. The woman he wanted to start a family with and just make as happy as possible. Harry didn’t ask for much, and even though he came from a well off family in England, he knew the value of a dollar because he’d always worked for each one he’d been given. He was very down to earth, would rather use one of his outlets to relieve stress than to take it out on anyone. He loved his family and friends with all of his heart and made sure to show it to them every chance he was given to do so. So as they sat next to each other in his car as he drove them to the restaurant, he smiled at her. Taking her hand, he made sure to keep one hand on the wheel and his eyes on the road as he gave her hand a gentle squeeze. Their dogs were home with a dog sitter, because it was one of those occasions that Harry just wanted to steal Katrina away just for himself. He was so proud of her, so proud of the work she’d put into making herself a better person. He’d watched, at first from a distance, as she struggled, but then with the right help and support she’d turned into this magnificent woman who sat next to him now. â€I hope you don’t mind Italian tonight love.†He told her as he pulled into Vinny’s and a valet came over. Sliding out of the driver’s side, he walked over to the passengers and opened her door for her. â€Did I mention you look stunning?â€Tag: Pix Words: 689 Notes: <3

Pix was extremely happy with her new life as Mrs. Danes. At times, she couldn’t believe this was her life now. It wasn’t very long ago that she was drinking and partying in back alleys looking for all sorts of trouble. She never took change very well and when she needed attention, she knew how to get it. More often than not, it was the wrong type of attention and activities that were dangerous that landed her in the worst circumstances. Years of feeling unwanted and inadequacy took their toll on the tiny fairy. She never seemed to get it right, someone was always leaving. But by some chance, she had landed in Harry’s lap and instead of passing her off as someone else’s problem, he became her hero. It was a rough start, mostly because she didn’t believe him. But he had made it obvious from early on that he wasn’t going anywhere so instead of fighting, she learned to first accept his help and then accept herself. Harry had this way of making things better. He made her feel things she never felt before and she’d be crazy to go back to the way things were before. Pix loved her husband, even if it was still weird calling him that. It seemed as if it was yesterday that it was Christmas morning and he was proposing. What he wanted with her, she didn’t know but she wasn’t going to pass up the offer. He was too good.
Waking up to his manbear beastliness was one of the best feelings in the world, even if he did crush her in his sleep. She felt safe, protected, as if nothing bad could ever happen so long as he was around. Pix no longer feared, she was able to really live life now without the fear of being criticized or judged. He really made something of her, not with his money, but with his love and for that she was indebted. The least she could do was cook him meals and bake his coworkers goodies. His lunch was packed most days, ready to go in the morning. Other days, she’d have something delivered to his office as a surprise. Harry didn’t really have to worry about much, she wasn’t going anywhere and she’d take care of the little things if she could. That’s what mattered, wasn’t it?
It had been a week or two since the last time they went out together. Pix was never a complainer and although she missed him around the house, she wasn’t going to say so. At times she swore he could read her mind because the next thing she knew, she was getting dolled up for date night. Pix liked simplicity tonight, she didn’t have the time to really go all out, besides, she didn’t know where they were going yet. After getting decent, she gave Anes extra smooches. Ever since the new addition came into their lives, he wasn’t acting quite the same but mommy loved him regardless. Athena was a clumsy and reckless little puppy. She hadn’t yet learned how to control her energy so that annoyed the little guy. Their bed was starting to get full and that amused Pix. Good thing their bed was humongo.
Pix gazed out the window and watched their city pass by. Driving with Harry was so soothing; he was a cautious driver, unlike Trav or Jesse. Feeling the squeeze on her hand brought her out of her daze. Oh I don’t mind. Pix smiled, never one to be extremely picky. Besides, he had thought of this all on his own and that was enough to make her smile. Once they arrived, Pix laughed a bit at his compliment. You always say that. You’re such a jerk.” She rolled her eyes at him, smirking, and approached the hostess. Mr. & Mrs. Danes, party of two. It was weird hearing it, even if the whole world knew who they were. Pix was glad to drop her last name and take his. Now there weren’t any reminders of the past. Life was comfortable. Glancing over the menu, Pix felt hungry and for once she wasn’t afraid to eat, really eat. How was the office today? The same question she asked everyday.

For every flaw and imperfection she saw, Harry saw two reasons why she was perfect. There was something about his Katrina that was awe inspiering, though he could never properly tell you just what it was. Maybe he really was biased, perhaps his love for her really had gone to his head in the worst possible way. But it didn't matter; nothing mattered because she was his. His wife, his love and the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. To Harry, Katrina was all kinds of beautiful. She was skilled, even if others didn't seem to think so. He'd always been a man with a vision, knew what he wanted long before anyone else did. From day one of meeting her, he had a feeling she would be someone important to him. He just hadn't figured out how or why in the beginning. The more he watched her, the more he understood that she just wanted to be loved. She needed a stability that no one had been able to provide for her just yet. So he did his best, first as an outside source, then as a friend, to keep her on a path that would get her somewhere good eventually. Little did he know that path would lead them to where they were now. He would always admit to her that he had been curious from day one. Here she was, this fairy looking creature, displaying all the signs of someone so reckless, with so much pain and anger and hatred. But with the desire for attention, that always turned out to be the wrong kind. Not that Harry was calling his best mate Tom the wrong kind of person. The bloke just wasn't what Katrina had needed; and while it pained Harry to watch her suffer from yet another set back, he did his best to be there for her on levels that he was allowed to be. Pretty soon however, it was evident that there was just no saving the relationship; and while he waited around to see if there was any saving her from the pain he knew she must have been in, she was sent away. And just like that, things clicked in Harry's mind. So when she came back, he was hesitent to approach her, just in case it wasn't what she wanted, second guessing himself as to whether he could be what she needed. The more he thought about it, the eaiser it became to fall into a comfortable pattern with her. Harry wasn't as rashly impulsive as people might think. He does actually take the time to plan things out, brace for the worst even if he always did hope for the best. Worst case scenero was that she didn't want anything to do with him; and if that had been the case, he told himself that he'd respect her wishes and give her time to get to know herself. Best case scenero was that something sparked out of the friendship they were building in the beginning. But never in his wildest dreams had Harry foreseen such a large impact. Sure he had wanted to be something positive for her, something that could help keep her grounded and eventually teach her to love and accept herself like he did. But what really shocked him in their beginning, was how quickly he ended up falling in love with her. It hadn't taken a long time to see that he was smitten over her. One look when they were together could tell you that very easily. It was harder to show Pixy this in the beginning however, but he understood. He got that she had been hurt many times and needed to be sure he was worth it. He set out to prove he could be everything she needed and then some and somehow...they ended up where they were now. Happily married; there was just no way Harry could complain about anything in his life now. He had a good job that provided for them and let them live comfortably; he had a loving wife that cared for him with all of her heart. He had amazing friends and family that shared in his happiness. To Harry, he had the world and then some, but the most important part was that he had her. And regardless of how busy he got at work or how many late nights and early mornings and trips he had, he ALWAYS had time for the woman that more or less made him completly and utterly happy. After letting her know that they were going out, Harry set to work getting himself ready. He was already dressed in a semi casual manner, having removed the jacket and taken off the tie perferring the collar not be buttoned all the way to his neck. The crisp white undershirt cut through the lovely lavender button down. Havinf peeked in on his wife to see if she was ready, he escorted her to his car after giving both Athena and Anes a little bit of loving. Athena was the newest member of their little family. A present to the both of them for an anniversary. He figured Anes could use a playmate, but never had he thought he'd come to love the female d0g as much as he did. Not that it diminished his affection for Anes any, but there was just something about Athena. He supposed he thought of them as more or less their children. And regardless of whether a parent is willing to admit it, there are favorites. You love children uniquely and for their own strengths; that was how he thought of their dogs. Putting his beloved in the car, Harry quickly made his way through the city, twisting and turning with the streets to get to where they were going. When he got conformation that she didn't mind his choice of meal this evening, Harry smiled a little more. He gave her his arm and lead her inside, chuckling softly at her calling him a jerk for saying she looked stunning. Was it his fault that he always thought she looked beautiful regardless of what she was wearing? After they were seated, Harry glanced at the menu and decided on what he was going to have. It wasn't that hard, as he knew he was in the mood for pasta tonight. Setting his menu down for a moment to really look at her as she asked the same question she did every evening when he came home to her, Harry waved his hand to signal a waiter. When they came over, he ordered the best house wine and the proceeded to tell her about his day. "Wasn't so bad a day. Finished up an EP, hoping to get that released before the holidays. Mm, what about you love? How was your day?"Tag: Pix Words: idek Notes: adorable <3

Katrina had thought that she would always end up marrying Tom and for a short while, she even considered it. She met Tom when he had saved her at a show one day from a gruff, angry guy who was much larger than she was. He was fearless punching the man in the face that one night, but a coward all the same. For months, Pix had wondered if he truly was too busy to have time for her or if he made himself busy because he was afraid of her (or loving her). Her time spent in Say My Name’s house showed her how lonely life with Tom would be and it only gave her time to develop a friendship with Dougie and Harry. She tried to get Tom’s attention in many ways but nothing ever seemed to work. Cheating on him didn’t work and dressing in lingerie had no effect. Katrina was beginning to wonder if he was gay because of the lack of intimacy in the relationship as a whole. Still, Tom had given her a place to be and live. She should have been grateful because it was more than what she had before but it wasn’t enough. Katrina needed attention, she needed love. She needed things she didn’t have growing up and it was obvious that she wasn’t going to get that from Tom. It was a hard decision to make, leaving him. A worse one yet convincing Harry to betray his friend and drive her to the airport to make her escape but even now she didn’t regret it. She believed that her breakup with Tom hadn’t affected him at all because there was hardly a relationship to begin with so he really couldn’t be upset with her leaving.
Whether it was boredom on the farm or actual curiosity, Pix couldn’t really stay away from communicating with Harry. There was always some sort of unspoken attraction between them and now that she was single, she felt that it might be good to play the field just a little. Sure he was off limits for being Tom’s best friend but she never intended things to go so far. It was only supposed to be a little flirting to get her self confidence back. It was when the band came to visit that she realized the impact of her text messages. She’d never forget how Harry had approached her in her bedroom inquiring as to her true feelings about him. Honestly, she hadn’t given it a thought at that time but spending the night out camping with him once or twice and she knew there really was no other option than to be with him. Katrina loved him early on. Not because he was a rebound and easily accessible but because he was level headed and never got angry with her. Tom had a short fuse and always would fly off the handle if she did something wrong. Harry was there with corrective action but he was calm, patient, and gentle. He was like a soft breeze compared to Tom. A few months into the relationship, Pix had a few setbacks because she knew that there was no way that she deserved Harry, given her past behavior. He deserved someone respectable, well mannered, and clean. Apparently, for some reason only God knows, Harry wanted her and he wouldn’t give up, no matter how hard Pix pushed away. She was afraid he’d quit her when things got serious or too busy. Now, two years after he had yet to leave her. Instead, everyday he found ways to show her he wasn’t going anywhere.
To say that Pix was happy was an understatement. She felt everything she missed out on. With Harry, she was safe, protected, loved, and cared for. Pix was where she belonged with a great husband, a large apartment, and their canine children. It was home. Their lives were structured and stress-free on her end. She had been playing a few gigs with Trav’s band since they needed a new singer but other than that, Pix was able to do as she pleased. Not that she was a gold digger mooching off Harry and not really working. Pix had her own money from an undisclosed source that provided her with the ability to purchase things she didn’t really need. So instead of spending, she had started a charity for eating disorders. It was still in its beginning stages but Pix thought it might be good to help other girls since it might be the only good thing she ever did with her life.
Pix had donned on a black and white dress, not overly dressy but fine for a dinner occasion. It wasn’t as if they were celebrating anything, at least nothing she was aware of. Since marrying Harry, Pix had become more modest in dress, not wanting to disrespect him in any way. Besides, she didn’t need the attention of other guys, especially when she had her own. Sitting down across from Harry Pix glanced over the menu, already knowing what she was going to have. She had been having an intense craving for lasagna lately, which seemed a bit weird and random. Still, since they had come here, she might as well take advantage of that. Pix glanced up as Harry ordered wine. It was a regular thing for him to do but this time it was a little different. Why it caught her attention, she didn’t really know. Well, she did but she hadn’t admitted it yet at least not out loud. Pix listened, but not really able to pay attention. The issue had been put out of her mind the whole day and now the wine thing had brought it up again. Pix had been hoping to buy herself a few more days to make sure the timing was right, but now that wasn’t an option anymore. If she didn’t address it now, it would be on her mind the entire night and she wouldn’t be able to relax and enjoy date night. She couldn’t concentrate and her heartbeat quickened. Harry, I’m pregnant. she blurted out, not sure if that had answered his question or not. I went to the doctor today, and yeah. Pix’s hands fidgeted with the napkin in anticipation of his reaction, she bit down on the inside of her lip, bracing herself. The last time she had this conversation with a guy, it hadn’t gone over so well. He had lashed out at her violently and well, she rather not think about what happened. Now, with Harry, she couldn’t read him. He never was the type to get upset about anything but with his career and the busy holidays coming up, it probably wasn’t something he wanted to deal with right now. Pix couldn’t really remember when or how it happened since he was so busy, but it did and for once she was positive it was definitely his. It seemed like forever waiting there. She took a look at the other couples dining, not sure how loud the news was or if it just seemed louder in her head. Luckily, it didn’t seem as if anyone noticed. Good. Pix rather not anyone know, not yet anyway.
